John Kirubakaran is a Post Graduate Chemical Engineer from IIT, Chennai. Did lot of work in the field of value added products from Coconut like production of Activated carbon from Coconut shells and Conversion of Coir fibre dust to Organic manure and also as a Growing medium. Worked as an industrial consultant for over seven years. Established Eco Coir Products in the year 2003 for the manufacture and export of Coir based growing media for Green House Cultivation.

Today Eco Coir Group, has three factories under its roof with a capacity of over 1500MT/month. Coir products are exported worldwide (US, UK, Holland, Australia, Spain etc.,) to some of the leading Green House Growers and potting soil companies. Today, these companies provide employment to over 350 people directly and indirectly. In order to serve the Indian market and to promote the use of advanced technology in Agriculture, a company by name Blossom Agritech was established in the year 2014. Here, basic technology is provided for setting up a green houses to grow vegetables and flowers under controlled conditions.

Won the ‘Indian Achiever’s award’ in the year 2010 and also the ‘Udyog Bharathi Award’ for new product development and quality excellence. Published several papers in reputed international journals in the field of Chemical Engineering. Member of various industrial associations and social service organizations.
